Official Grown-Ups

So Ben and I tried to act like grown-ups today. It was kinda scary! I don't really enjoy thinking of myself as an adult or acting like one, if I can help it. But I sucked it up for this occasion. We went to a bank to apply for a home loan. That's right! A big day in our lives! And ... we were approved! They were really friendly. They didn't yell at me or anything (and yes, I have many irrational fears about such things). We now have a slip of paper that says we can have the money if we want it to show to people who might want to know if we can have the money. (And that, my friends, is a run-on sentence). Anyhow, we're not quite sure what we'll do with it now that we have it! But quite frankly, I'm flattered. And kind of proud of these little Burdette's for actually being able to buy a house. I really don't know what we'll do. I have the single greatest neighborhood that ever lived and the most lovable calling imaginable in a really fantastic ward (We want to magical find an affordable and adorable house safely within ward boundaries)! Sigh. But hey. We're just gonna take it slow and see what marvelous things might happen. You never know where the wind will take you!

Happy Birthday yesterday to my dear Auntie Jan, who is a second mom and one of the greatest ladies I know! I love you, Aunt Jan!!

hopefully ben will be as excited as ryan is about buying a house. ryan does all the work--looks every day for quite some time--and then i get to enjoy his work of looking at pictures when he finds something. oh, and he always does...seems like he is always saying to me, "i found us a house". yup, so i never really believe him but get excited to look anyway. we are going to slc in a couple weeks to look for real. hopefully the both of us will get lucky! happy house hunting to you. but i am a little confused because i thought you already owned a house??? love yah reeser! and thanks for your leprachon (however you spell that) idea. i just may get more creative next year. i think braden would think it was cool!

I can not bear the thought of you buying a new house because that just means you are leaving me. But, if I put my selfish reasoning aside, it really is great news. It is such a blessing to own your own home! So as much as hate the thought, congratulations! (I just think you have to buy the house I showed you because that would be perfect...and you wouldn't want to ruin my perfect little world, now would you?) :-)

Not that I have any business telling you where to live (Bloomington Hills), but there are some really great homes and deals (in Bloomington Hills) and if you shop around (in Bloomington Hills) you could find a great house (in Bloomington Hills). Good luck with everything! Can't wait to hear the news!

Just so you know, I have a new post, but for some reason it isn't registering on your blog or on my sisters. I don't know why, if you figure it out let me know. Thanks
