With Their Forces Combined, They Are: One Post!

Two of my awesome sisters-in-law, Silvia and Trina. Third sis: Karen

GREATEST SISTER EVER:
My sister-in-law Trina has been one of my very best friends since we were little children. In fact, I remember the first time I was allowed to go over to her house to play, and it was very enchanting. I have no idea how old I was. Small. She is the person who I played pretend with, shared lemons and lollipops with, supported me through my training-bra (if you've never grown into a woman's body and had to wear one, congratulate yourself) and all perceived life afflictions, shares her living room with me when I'm bored, and knows more about my faults then anyone but Ben and my parents, and still likes me. Amazing. In a very romantic, novel-worthy play of fates, she married her childhood sweetheart, my oldest brother, and for the past almost 9 years has been my sister. Lucky me! Anyhow, last night I was feeling crazy and frustrated, and in her great kindness (and in a wild spontaneous act) she took me out to dinner -- in St. George -- in the two hours before Young Women's! It was awesome! It was so fun and relaxing, and exactly what I needed. So, thank you, Trina. You are about ten steps past awesome. You are the reason my family is loved this morning. It was very adventurous of us, which means we are getting cooler as we get older! Thanks for being a second mom to my children, and even though you have sisters of your own, letting me claim you as mine. If only you knew how amazing you are! So for those of you who are fortunate enough to know my sister Trina -- you are lucky. If you haven't me her, start wishing on a wishing star and maybe that wish will come true!
CREATIVITY:
Last night after fun dinner with sister and fun Young Women's, I went to my Mom's to watch the Biggest Loser Finale (what, Helen?!! Sheesh). A whole evening off! It was awesome. Ahhhhh.... Anyhow, when I came home, there was this marvelous sculpture created by my wonderful son. The man-child is an artist. He was so thrilled to show me! And quite insistent that we not take it down. I'm pretty sure this food sculpture will be petrifying on my counter for quite some time. I hope K.J. will continue with this artistic streak of his. I've always wanted to create visual art, but I can only draw stick people, so he didn't get it from me. I admire this talent! In fact, he helped me with Family Home Evening the other night. I decided to teach the 10 Commandments, and he drew a picture to represent each commandment! My favorites: for honor your parents, he drew a picture of me with "a long, long skirt. And see how you're holding your skirt? That's like the princesses do!" For don't lie he drew a picture of his cousins Addie and baby Porter, because Addie wouldn't let anyone lie to Porter!

CONSEQUENCES:
Today I was reading in 2 Nephi Chapter 28 and there was a verse that made me think of a situation my family has been forced into.
28:8 -- And there shall also be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry; nevertheless, fear God -- he will justify in committing a little sin; yea, lie a little, take the advantage of one because of his words, dig a pit for thy neighbor; there is no harm in this; and do all these things, for tomorrow we die; and if it so be that we are guilty, God will beat us with a few stripes, and at last we shall be saved in the kingdom of God.
This kind of thinking is very mysterious, but now I know from experience, very real. I just feel bad for anyone who chooses to live their life like that -- surely there are some pretty serious consequences. Yikes! Constant vigilance!!!
DRESS UP:
Here is Madame Olivia in her two skirts and princess slippers, exhausted from watching Sleeping Beauty and totally off in the dream land -- hopefully dreaming of prancing around in a cheerful forest, or perhaps a cottage glen.

HANDS:
Mine and Olivia's. I am proud to say that the color on mine is from Calligraphy ink. I love to see those little fingers. I am thankful for our two hands!

I would like to say, I am proud of all of you for posting. Keep up the good work. It's very satisfying to be a part of your lives this way! Because of your hard work over the past two days, I now know that Tina's house is almost done, Trina got her Grandma's treasured painting, Tamari got a motorcycle, and Tara is in the trenches of potty-training (woah, lot's of T names. Awesome.), Jenny has a wonderful new conspiracy theory, and NieNie is starting to recover from her surgery. Now isn't that interesting and fulfilling? Thank you all!

I love the sculpture. KJ is lucky to have such a supportive mum.

It's too bad we can't leave comments in pink calligraphy. That would be the best EVER.

You have an amazing artist! Thanks for the free lenghty comment. It truly made my day. I quite certain I can get you higher than 86 on the priority list too!

I ran into Tyson at church the other day. I informed him that he has been walking past my house for the past few months. I thought he had a friend nearby. Ha, he lives in the circle across from me and is just in the next ward over. How about that! Sorry. Totally unrelated to anything. Just wanted to share.
