Honestly

Help me, People.

How does one resist this?
Yesterday the Double B actually had the day off. This happens like once every ten million Saturday's, so this was a pretty big deal. Lucky for him, he got to spend the whole day babysitting his children!!! Lucky duck.
I would have helped, but I was too busy cultivating myself out in the world. He is a good man. Isn't he? I did feel a little bit bad at the end of the day, but I made it all better by bringing home a large caramel/reeses blizzard from the DQ and writing a love note that said things like "I love you," and "Let's make out later." Things like that.
The only request I had for my honey is that he keep my children alive while I was away. He was already at the computer playing little "nerd" games (I can say that 'cause I love him) when I left, and I was pretty positive he'd be playing little "nerd" games when I came back. So I just said "Keep them alive, okay?" I also reminded him of the recent propensity for fire and lipstick our two munchkins have had... separate but powerful.
When I came home for a few hours yesterday afternoon this is what I found: our two year old sweetheart, naked and sleeping like the dead on the front room couch, her arms tossed high above her head and all-day lipstick all over her face and the faces of the dolls laying around her. It was... tender. And pathetic. But... tender.
So I retraced her steps into the bathroom, only to see it blown to smithereens and the counter and mirror also covered in lipstick.
And her Dad at the computer. Tender. Tender as well.
I have to hand it to you, Covergirl. When you talk about all-day lipstick, you are not joking. Since Livi had to go to church with remnants of crimson all over her face today, you are about as accurate in your advertising as any company has ever been. I salute you.
And I salute you, Double B. You gave up your day off to keep our children alive, and I love you for it.

On the bright side, at least they didn't have a bonfire going in the living room.

that picture is the most amazing thing i have ever seen. that is some serious lipstick. i'm glad you got some time to yourself and i'm glad your children seemed to enjoy their freedom. dad's are sorta funny like that. i've decided mom's are just way more paranoid. well i love you!

Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
