What Is This? A Give Away?!

Something awesome happened. Last night my Mom and I had a little project in the "big city" (if you will), and I was gone for the evening. When I got home, the house was quiet, the children were in bed asleep, and The Double B was listening to his book on tape. It was rather peaceful, as a matter of fact. So after kissing the honey "hello" I went to the kitchen to straighten up for the night -- the only way I am ever successful as a homemaker is if I stick to this ritual. Otherwise we live in a tornado. So I finished loading the dishwasher, started picking things up off the floor and I found this:

I was already in love. But then I opened it and saw this:

I'll just give you a moment, I know you need it.
Is your heart warmed? I know mine is.
Being a Mom is the best.
Kaje is such a sweet, tender little boy. I'm blessed!
Ah, my heart is still all warm and fuzzy even this morning, as he's off to school practicing the alphabet and enjoying drug-free week, Livi is watching Peter Pan, and I'm participating in my daily dose of therapy.
So, being all warm and fuzzy, I have decided to do my first ever (and maybe only ever, who knows) Give Away! And since it's my give away, I decided to give something that I love more then squeeky cheese. It is my favorite music CD, and I think you'll love it, too. In fact, it is the very CD I mentioned in my post yesterday (hence the idear). It's inspirational but not denominational and not preachy -- just beautiful and (second time I'm going to use this word) inspiring. I love it! I love the way it makes me feel when I listen to it. It. is. my. very. favorite.

Here's what you need to do to enter this -- dare I say it -- contest:

Answer the following question:
What is your favorite CD and why?

And then, just to be nice, sign up to become one of my followers (on the right there) so I can see your pretty face.

I will announce (with my megaphone) the winner on Tuesday morning, hence giving all the people not totally addicted to blogging a chance to enter. Good luck! 'Cause I want you to have it. I really, really do.

I only get to pick ONE CD? Seriously it's not even close to being fair. If I only get one I've gotta go with Patsy Cline greatest hits, cause if you only get one it's gotta be timeless right. Right.

PS Look my pretty little face is already over there smiling at all the other followers. :)

That is very hard to do.

Probably soundtrack to Shine. I listened to it every day in HS and still never get sick of it. So relaxing, so delightful.

To pick just one is very hard!! I love music!

Coldplay's X&Y holds a place in my heart. I find their music full of passion, I can tell through their songs that they love making music and making people feel their passion.

Wow. I'm not so big on music. As in I rarely listen to it and I don't even know any of these cd's. I could probably arrange being a follower though!

This week: "Dreaming Out Loud" by OneRepublic. Very cool songs that also happen to not include any 4-letter words. That's tough to find these days.

(OneRepublic barely beat out The Beatles.)

I can't pick just one. It depends on my mood. So I will just have to say Carpenters Greatest Hits. I never tire of it. It is great in any situation. Especially scary ones! For example: I was traveling by myself over I-70. It was VERY dark. I was by myself with my children and trying to be brave. We all know I'm afraid of the dark. There was only one thing to do. I put in the Carpenters! I cranked it! I sang along! And I made it through! :-) Can't go wrong with the Carpenters!

haha...well of course I'd have to say any of the Carpenters CD's..but beyond the Carpenters I like a lot of music. Picking one is extremely difficult! Honestly, I love all the kid CD's...the Brite Music ones. Silly, I know. Or Nat King Cole or Anne Murray. I really don't know. OOH OOH! I'll choose the one Mike made for me when we were dating! :-) Always makes me smile!

Such a hard choice! I have so many that I love. I think I'm going to have to go with the Cranberries. Their first album, "Everybody Else Is Doing It So Why Can't We" takes me back to my high school days. Many, many fond memories. Oh, and I follow. I'm the best lemming ever!

My favorite CD would probably be a mixer, however, now I have an MP3 player...I like mixers because I can control what music comes into my head...positive, fun, and not too hard.

Wow! When you do a giveaway people come out of the woodwork! It is like serving refreshments at ward functions. "If we know there is going to be punch and cookies we are SO going to that four hour long meeting on Family History!"

ANYWAY, my favorite CD is Rubber Soul. I can listen to that album over and over and never tire of it. Beatles Baby! :)

I've been thinking about this for three days and the only answers I can come up with are Dan Fogelberg's Greatest Hits and anything by Jack Johnson...or Dave Matthews. I know, it's THREE cds, so I've devised a solution: An imaginary Jack Johnson/Dan Fogelberg/Dave Matthews compilation CD. (Also, my idea of the perfect date-- listening to that imaginary CD while eating Marshmallow Mateys.)

My favorite CD is Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband- Dream Big. I love their singing and they include church teachings into their music, but make it fun. Plus, I am always a fan of a good fiddler!!

I am a huge fan of the Goo Goo Dolls. I like pretty much all of their albums, but I really like A Boy Named Goo.

There is it is. I hope I win. :)

Dear FGC this is your FBC. I will be totally honest, this is the second time I have ever checked your blog. Not a lot I know, but that should not count me out for a cd that I already own and deserve a second copy of.

Now I know that a tuesday morning giveaway would have happened in somebody elses world but I am confident that I still have a chance as I imagine you baking some homemade muffins for your beautiful children and just being this amazing homemaker.

I will tell you my favorite cds, counting down from 5-1. I believe this will seal the deal (as if me being your FGC hasnt sealed the deal already)

5.Nsync - No Strings Attached.
I have never seen puppets look so good.

4.Backstreet Boys - Millennium
Has whiteness ever been hotter than this?

3.Michael Jackson - Thriller
I mean it is Halloween, and he did die and who doesnt like a zombie fest on a cover?

2.The Beatles - Please Please Me
The first Album released by the beatles, this started it all. You can never forget about someones roots. You need to always remember where they came from, also them looking down on me from a balcony, so cool!

1.The Beatles - Abbey Road
The last great album ever realeased by the worlds greatest band. Classic Picture Classic Songs and a Classic cousin suck up.
