Just Acting Out A Little

Last night I was on the phone with my dear friend Melissa. I really like Melissa, like, a lot. Do you ever meet someone you just think is way cool and know that you must become their stalker and establish a friendship? That's Melip (or "My Lissa," as Livi calls her)... she's just too cool for school. I feel my stock in the ward has risen about twenty points by mere association. So thank you, Melissa. Anyhow, we were on the phone because I had a few questions and comments and plans for an "ugly childhood picture" contest. She brought up my swear-word story from yesterday and wanted more details. Since it's Melissa, and she already knows lots of bad things about me, I was happy to oblige. After listening to the gory details -- and the Double B was in the room and was shocked to hear them -- she just laughed and said "Don't worry, Marie, you're just acting out." Which I thought was the single most funny thing I have heard in 2010! Ha! I'm just acting out!!! It's probably my favorite scenario for the many crazy things I do -- I'm just acting out, ya'all. Please forgive me. I'm just acting out.
Thank you, Melip -- for being funny, and giving me my new Motto.

Have I ever mentioned I am married to a giant among men? Honestly, it's ridiculous. But I'm not willing to trade, so I shall deal with the ridiculous. We spent the afternoon together bettering our family, and then we came home and he made dinner. Homemade french fries and... dare I say it... deep-fried mushrooms just for me. It was pretty romantic. My parents gave us a deep fryer for Christmas, and this was it's maiden voyage. It worked like a champ. In fact, I will go so far as to say that now all of the Double B's dreams have come true. My dreams came true a long time ago, so the deep fryer is like the cherry on top for me.

I don't think there is anybody else that could stand being married to me. Seriously. Though sometimes fun, I am pretty much an affliction. But the Double B does it... he deals with my acting out like a champ. And he makes me feel loved. I think I will have to do something nice for him, stat.

I have things that must be done. For instance, put peed on bed-sheets in the washing machine. Re-load the dishwasher and finish the kitchen. Undo the horrific damage done to my bedroom by my offspring yesterday. Order pictures at Costco.com. Lay there and ignore all of it to contemplate the mysteries of the universe. Prepare for young women's tonight. Force myself to clean the front bathroom. I'd like to just act out and not do any of it, but unfortunately, I've been acting out quite a bit lately, and soon my house will just spontaneously combust. In an effort to stop that from happening, I guess I'd better put the pedal to the metal.

Amen.

I have a baby that wants to go to bed at 6 p.m., she then sleeps until after 7:30 a.m. I knew paying tithing would kick in sometime!!!!! Sorry, I thought only you would appreciate my lovingly random thought.
