Tuesday's Monday Report

Today after Olivia and I got her ready for preschool (team work!), we went into the bathroom for the daily full-body inspection, where I hold her up on the counter and she admires and compliments herself from every angle -- one of my favorite parts of the day. She especially felt great today thanks to her new polka-dot shirt from her twin cousins (hand-me-downs are simply the best!). After turning her face from side to side and fluffing one of her pigtails she said "Hey, look! I've got polka dots on my face to match my shirt!" I answered "Yep, your freckles are kind of like polka dots, aren't they?" Her response: "No, Mom! They're not freckles! They're polka dots!" And you know what? They kinda are. I'm thrilled she loves her polka dots. I love polka dots on every one who has them, I think they are the cutest thing ever. I'm not gonna lie about that.

And before I forget... last Sunday I was driving the kids to my parents because the Double B and I both had an early morning meeting. Up ahead I could see police lights at a fender bender so I said "Uh-oh, there's an accident," as I turned onto an alternate route. From the very back I hear Livi's little voice: "An accident? Did they pooped or did they peed?"

Let that brighten your day, folks!
Being a Mom is the most hilarious occupation there is (if it doesn't kill you, first).

Thanksgiving was such a blast this year. We ate with my honey's parents, sister Sabrina and her cute family, and his big sister Jan and her fabulous husband John. It was so much fun to be all together and especially to get to visit with my buddy Jan, who we (and I personally) don't get to see nearly as much as we (and I) would like. She's just a way groovy person, funny and smart and interesting, and John totally cracks us up.

My Mom was my Black Friday partner, and I think we did pretty stinkin' good. We didn't start 'til six, 'cause we're not completely wild like some of the rest of you, but we got a lot of good stuff and we had a blast. It's one of my favorite things to do with my Mom.

My Dad's favorite show is "The Doctors."

I just thought you should know that.

Now go forth and serve!

And I'm still coming to terms with my polka dots.
