She's Kate. Enough Said.

Katee Jill has made a new discovery:
She has a serious, unadulterated passion for hot chocolate mix.

That's right. Not hot chocolate. Just the mix.
She found a baggie of it yesterday, got herself a spoon, and dug in.
This kid loves chocolate more then any human I've ever known, but this surprised even me.
I'm not sure if I'm going to be winning any Mother of the Year awards for this,
but it just made her so happy, and I thought it was so very quirky,
that I just let her do it.
Look at the joy on her face.

I took her to go get Brother and Sister from school this way. She just waits in the car, and she was so happy... so why not? I didn't clean her up when we got home, either. She was still working on her little baggy of hot chocolate mix, and who was I to interrupt her? I broke up a fight she started because she didn't want Sister to watch "Oak-a-hawn-tis" (You may know it as Pocahontas, but whatever) with her. She can kind of be a bully, let's face it. And who thinks Disney's Pocahontas is the greatest movie of all time, anyway? Katelyn. That's who. She ADORES it, and wants it on any TV at any time, even if she's not watching it. After I saved Olivia from the horror of the Chocolate Monster, I headed up to start dinner. The Double B got home and found her just as you see her in these pictures. He brought her up to me, thinking he was reporting on her crimes to me. I told him "Yep!" That I knew she was eating the mix, that she loved it, that I thought it was hilarious, and that she had looked like that for the better part of the afternoon. He sort of just looked at me. And then I said "I think I'm getting cooler with thirty." He kept looking, so I informed him I sent a picture to his mother and she thought it was hilarious. He looked at me again and said "Well, she would."
And headed back downstairs.

Just another day at our house, really.

Yum.

I keep catching my daughter - my OLDEST daughter - eating dry cake mix. Maybe there's a 12 step program for this?
