New Tradition

I love new traditions. 

In Kansas City we started some fun ones (most notably our Valentine's Dinner), and we just started our first Las Vegas tradition: kicking off the Christmas season by opening holiday jammies and reading Christmas stories (my favorite to read to them is "I Believe In Santa Clause) the first Family Home Evening after Thanksgiving. That way they get to enjoy their new Christmas jammies all season long and get to open a present early (they each get their own tin they'll open their jammies and treats in each year). I saw this idea online and loved it. I've had to wash their jammies while they're at school because they wear them every night! It was a hit. It is exciting to start a new memory.
