Rewind: The Tates

The Tates came to visit us in late July. As you can imagine, this was pretty much a magical dream come true!

Benson and I were both happy to have our Bev back.

KJ and Lauryn had a great time together -- she has really grown up so much! Katelyn thought the sun rose and set on Lauryn. 

My parents drove down to visit and everybody had a great time. We played Hand and Foot five times and Bev won EVERY TIME. She is basically undefeatable. 

The kids had so much fun playing together. 

Liv and Elyssa were right back to their performing ways. It only took about an hour for them to put on their first performance! Then we got several more, the most impressive being a truly awesome circus act. I was impressed. Those two are two peas in a pod. 

It took a minute for Katelyn and Nicholas to reconnect, but then we went down to the Strip to go to the M&M and Coke stores, and they were inseperable thereafter. It was pretty cute. 

Trying out the Cokes from around the world is always an adventure. 

They were also here for Benson's 2nd birthday, so it was really fun to celebrate that together. 

I can't believe my baby is two. He is a little goose and such a joy to all of us. 

He got lots of trains and cars and was way too excited. 

Bev caught him in the classic Family B hand shake of pure exhilaration.

We were so happy to see them come, so sad to see them go, but so grateful that they would come see us in the first place! We are thankful to have lifelong friends like the Tates. We love them like family.
