Ninja

I told Olivia that I just don't feel like writing on the blog. She said maybe we start a podcast instead? That's a great idea. Then she suggested that I just write about KJ's love life, instead. Like a gossip column. That could also be fun. She suggested that I find a time machine and go back to 2009 and tell Marie not to start writing the blog so that I don't feel obligated to it in 2023. But then if I did that, we wouldn't have this history of the small goings on. So I probably shouldn't do that.
Fine, I'll just write on the blog.
This morning was the ward party. Last night the Double B and I went to the church and set up all the tables and chairs, since we couldn't make the party set up time. We got it done in just under an hour and enjoyed our time together. I discovered that we can set things up at about a 4-1 clip. The Double B can set up four tables with chairs in the time in takes for me to do one table's chairs. And that is with me moving at my efficient speed. He's just a strong manly man that can really haul. We stan a king.
The party this morning was nice. I don't really like going to these events, because I am a hermit. Especially without my boyfriend to protect me. And yet I realize that being a part of society and making my children be part of society is important, so we go. It was a nice breakfast and we talked to people and asked questions to get them to tell us more and then helped clean the church when it was over. My official opinion about building cleaning is: the church can afford to hire janitors, this is silly. Cleaning up really well after a party? Yes, absolutely, that is our job. Straightening up well after church and activities? Yep. Building scrubbing into the eternities? No. I've cleaned many a building and at this point I am opposed.
I have so many good suggestions in life. If only someone would ask me for them.
Anyhow, the kids and I swept and mopped the foyers and bathrooms and shook out arms that really hate that kind of pushing and then we stopped at Sonic on our way home and crashed for an hour! Good times.
Sometimes I feel like I should put on my halo and protect you from the fact that I am a human with real stick in the mud tendencies. But then I decide, what the heck. We've made it this far. We all know the truth here.
I took care of some things in the kitchen when we got home and then went into my bedroom to find Benson in his favorite position -- snuggled on Mom and Dad's bed with blankie and the remote control. But this time he had this super cool ninja headband made out of packaging on. Which I really thought was snazzy and he kept on for a couple of hours at least.
Life is good.

I learned on Friday why we ask the Elder's quorum to set up the tables and chairs! We had a funeral Friday. It was a small funeral, they only needed 5 tables. I actually forgot to ask the Elder's quorum to take care of that, so the morning of, I went to the church early to handle it! I got one table up no problemo! The 2nd table, slipped, hit me in the ankle and made me fall face first onto the table! My hands and knees banged on the metal legs and I thought I should just lay there until someone found me, but I got up. The third table also slipped and I hit my knee, but I didn't fall. I said to myself, this is a man's job! I should have bruises all over me, but of course you can't see any of the bruises I earned!!! Plus it took me SOOOOO Long!
